PHOTO: Nesaquake Student Wins Spelling Bee

The student will move on to face others in the Long Island round in February.

Nesaquake Middle School student Lauren Donelan won first place in the school's spelling bee Jan. 7, and will go on to represent the school in the Long Island round of the Scripps Spelling Bee in February.

The runner up was Ian Winkeler. Other participants included Ryan MacCarthy, Matthew Mullahy, Alyssa Ramirez, Jordan Christophedes, Kevin Cawley, Samantha Lubumski, and Symrn Shah.
