Photo of the Day: East Student Participates in SUNY Italian Poetry Contest
East students take home first in an Italian Culture Trivia Contest.
Students studying Italian at Smithtown High School East participated in an Italian Poetry Contest at SUNY Old Westbury, with sophomore Cassandra Bohner taking home an honorable mention.
Also during the contest at Old Westbury there was an Italian Culture Trivia Contest, with the students from Smithtown East students bringing home first place. The American Association of Teachers of Italian sponsored the contest, which had more than 30 schools from Nassau and Suffolk County participating.
