Smithtown West students receive demonstration from Stony Brook University's Professor of Medicine of the system, used to treat atrial fibrillation.

Smithtown West students were provided a demonstration by a Stony Brook University professor of medicine and the opportunity to use the Hansen Medical Sensei Robotic Catheter System at the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics career day Wednesday.

The demonstration of the system, used to treat atrial fibrillation, was given by Eric J. Rashba, professor of medicine at Stony Brook University School of Medicine and director of the electrophysiology laboratories at Stony Brook University Heart Center.

The Smithtown Industry Advisory Board sponsored the event, attended by roughly 100 West students.
