Smithtown Student Receives Special Education Award

The Long Island Association of Special Education Administrators awarded Smithtown student Brian Tatem with the Conrad Hecht Memorial Award at a dinner held recently at the Milleridge Inn in Jericho.

LIASEA is a group of special education administrators who are responsible for programs and services in public and private schools or agencies. Their meetings provide invaluable opportunities to dialogue with others who possess experience with and knowledge of the issues that challenge special education administrators, teachers, and parents.
