West's Hughes 285-Pound Champ at Wrestling Tournament

Michael Hughes won the 285-pound weight class championship for the second straight year at the annual Smithtown Wrestling Tournament, his second tournament title this season.
Hughes also took the North Babylon Tournament this season. The junior's record for the season is 22-1 with 17 pins.
Hughes defeated top seed Rami Saad El-din of Half Hollow Hills East in the finals, pinning him in 2:55 to help West place fourth in team standings with 185.5 points.

placed fifth in team points in this tournament with 156, West placed eighth with 74.
East had three second-place finishers in their respective weight classes – Luke Outcault with 138 points, Eric Binder with 145, and Casey O’Malley with 152.
