Tewaaraton Trophy, Lowe's Senior CLASS Nods for Pannell

Former Smithtown West lacrosse star Robert Pannell up for two prestigious awards while in senior season at Cornell.

The accolades continue to pile for former Smithtown West High School lacrosse standout and current Cornell University attackman Robert Pannell as he is currently up for two collegiate awards.

The Cornell University Athletics website announced that Pannell is on the watch list for the Tewaaraton Award, given to the top and collegiate lacrosse player of the year. Pannell was nominated last season as a junior, and now is among the 72 players contending for the award now in his senior season.

Pannell is not the only Cornell lacrosse player up for the award as he's joined by fellow nominee Roy Lang.
