Veterans Day Parades, Taste of Smithtown This Week in Smithtown

Veterans Day
In honor of Veterans Day, Town of Smithtown government offices and Smithtown schools are closed on Monday. 

Veterans Day Parade

St. James Fire Department will host their annual Veterans Day Parade starting at 9:30 a.m. on Monday. The parade will step off from the intersection of Lake Avenue and Woodlawn in St. James, and proceed to St. James Elementary School for ceremonial celebrations

Veterans Day Ceremony

Smithtown American Legion Post 833 and Smithtown VFW Post 10870 will hold a Veterans Day commemorative ceremony at 10:45 a.m. Monday at the Town of Smithtown's Veterans Plaza on Main Street. 

Board of Zoning Appeals
Smithtown Board of Zoning Appeals will meet to hold public hearings at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Eugene A. Cannataro Senior Citizen Center. Watch Patch for more information on what's on their agenda. 

Smithtown Board of Education 
Smithtown Central School District's Board of Education will hold a public meeting at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the New York Avenue administrative building. Check Patch this week for more information on what's on their agenda. 

Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Smithtown-Sunrise will meet Thursday at 7:45 
am at the Smithtown Millennium Diner in Smithtown. 

Taste of Smithtown
The Senior Resources of Long Island is hosting its 8th annual Taste of Smithtown, an evening of fine food and dining, benefiting Smithtown Children’s Foundation and Smithtown Emergency Food Pantry on Thursday, from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Tickets are $25.
