JWG's Tomorrow Today — A Calm Feeling (a poem)

Wherein JWG enjoys hearing rain — liquid snow.

A Calm Feeling

An end of the day thunderstorm
Brings back electrifying thoughts
That a bolt of lightning will kill.
We heard a Pine Tree that was felled.
Thunder proclaimed the victory.

Afterwards, a stillness.
Water drips from the leaves.
Cooler air brings a breeze.
Splashing in the puddles,
Mud will ooze between toes.

A calm feeling
Comes over me
When I hear rain.
This liquid snow
Makes my brain go.
