JWG's Tomorrow Today —I'm Old-fashioned (a poem)
Wherein JWG bemoans the fate of cursive writing.
I’m Old-fashioned
I used to pretend I could write.
I scribbled with pen on paper.
Swirling lines were magic to me.
I never thought to understand
How letters could be created.
Because of computers,
Cursive writing will die.
Specialists will study
The “ancient” manuscripts
That Libraries will hold.

I’m old-fashioned.
I write with pen
In a notebook.
I make mistakes;
I cross them out.
